I seem to find that this year is steam rolling ahead and I feel like I am still stuck in the exact same place I was in 2010. I commented to the Boss’s wife earlier that I can not believe that it’s the 17th of August already, WTF? Your telling me my 6year old will be turning 7 in less than 4 months. Not possible.
Nat back to subject your drifting again…
Sorry about that. ANYWAY, what I was trying to get at is that the end of the year is fast approaching, this troubles me because even though I don’t believe in New Years resolutions (yes I am going there) I made one last year. I promised to
loose weight get healthy find love get fit stop drinking (ok I will stop) be a better friend. I find the value of friendship, true friendship is priceless. You can’t put a price on friendship. Since becoming a mother it seems I have really found out who my true friends are, they’re the kind who don’t mind if you forget to call frequently, it doesn’t matter, the kind who will drop everything if you need a hand advice or just some one to talk to, if your lucky that they live close by give you a cuddle when you need it. My real friends are my family, and some times they mean more to me than anything else.
over the last few years its been harder and harder to maintain those friendships, it gets harder to find the time to sit down and call or send an email. Life gets in the way, I totally get it. Some of us are busy becoming famous, growing our families and finding our careers. I don’t care about them any less, in fact quite the opposite. I guess being that we are living in such a technology focused world its one of the reasons why I have started blogging again. Not only to make new friends but as another way to maintain my current friendships.
Last weekend I purchased a few things to send some good old fashioned snail mail. So look out if your one of those people you may be getting a little something to show that yes I do still love you. Sometimes all some one needs is a little note or a quick text to know your thinking of them. So go on say a quick hello, you will thank me for it.
