A date with my favourite person

It’s not very often I get a day of work. It is thankfully a public holiday and even though I am still feeling miserable we needed to get out of the house.

Alexandra’s Aunt Kristen is visiting and it’s not very often that Alex gets to spend time with her dads family as their all in the Hunter Valley region. We had plans of then coming over because I’m so sick but last minute I decided both of us could do with some fresh air. We decided to take them down to the Strand (which is Townsville’s idea of a foreshore). Thankfully we are having typical Townsville winter weather, a terrible 26 degrees and a horrible blue sky.

Townsville may be a small city but when a 10 minute drive gets you here. It’s pretty easy to understand why we call it home

I am very fortunate that Alexandra is such a good girl and has been really helping me out and been on her best behavior whilst I’m unwell.

We don’t normally have treats so after we dropped her Aunt at the ferry terminal I decided she deserved a treat. Gelatissamo for sundaes

What to choose? So many decisions…

I’ll have a scoop of choc chip and Ferraro thanks mum. Yum!

Me well I had to go for the chocolatissamo sundae. And yes it was as tasty as it looks. This place puts hot nutella on their sundaes and THAT’S alright with me.

I guess it must of been all a little exhausting because not 100m from our park I turned around and saw this.

Something tells me after cheerleading practise and dinner at my parents some one is going to be exhausted.

How did you spend your weekend?
